About Us
The Lorad Chemical Corporation was established in 1998. Our corporate headquarters and manufacturing facilities are located in St. Petersburg, Florida, USA.
The company was established in response to the demand for a manufacturer of advanced inorganic chemicals, with expertise and facilities for early stage product development, and subsequent larger scale commercial manufacturing. In support of this, LORAD is staffed by a team of professional scientists and engineers, supported by technicians with a very broad range of manufacturing and product development experience.
Our specialty custom manufactured products include high purity multi-component oxides, sulfides, nitrides, halides, (especially high purity fluorides ), phosphates and very high purity salts. Materials can be supplied in the tens of kilograms to hundreds of kilograms.
Our manufacturing facility can offer a broad range of manufacturing technologies and processes, including:
High-temperature furnaces for vacuum, inert gas, and reactive atmosphere processing. High temperature solid – state syntheses.
Powder processing equipment for size reduction, classification, tablet fabrication, and solids-liquids blending.
Proprietary systems for the manufacture of powders via vapor/gas phase reactions, and combustion syntheses.
Bulk, wet-chemical precipitation processes, including controlled processes for spherical, controlled distribution particles, and nano-particles.
Materials synthesis for extremely low moisture and oxygen conditions.
