Lorad scientists have developed a new method for the synthesis of zinc sulfide powders. This new process can generate zinc sulfide powders on a continuous basis. Initial materials in the 100nm - 150nm range are available in multi-kilogram quantities.

Lorad's team of scientists have been developing on a new scalable method to produce zinc sulfide nano-powder in commercial quantities and have succeeded in created a propietary process that will allow us to better meet the needs of our customers for this essential material.

The image below, is a typical SEM image of our improved Zinc Sulfide nano-powder.

The second image shows a typical x-ray diffraction trace of our zinc sulfide nano-powder. Zinc sulfide nano-powders are indexed as the cubic , sphalerite crystal structure. Line broadening measurements indicate a crystallite size of 10-20nm.

Lorad can now offer our customers Zinc Sulfide powder in the 100nm to 150nm range in multi-kilogram quantities.
