Zinc sulfide
Zinc sulfide powder is available in bulk as a high purity, ( very low transition metals) 1-2 micron powder. Typically, this is the source material for our tablets and granules for the vacuum evaporation of thin film coatings. Lorad scientists have developed a proprietary method for sintering zinc sulfide to high density.
It should be noted that we also manufacture a range of very high purity zinc dialky dithiocarbamates, specially purified to be suitable for the chemical vapor deposition of zinc sulfide thin films. Lorad can provide user information to customers relating to the conditions for thin film growth, and the application of these precursors in an aerosol and conventional CVD source application.
