About Helium
Helium is a noble gas with atomic number 2 and exceptionally low chemical reactivity. Liquid helium cools superconducting magnets in MRI scanners and NMR spectrometers. Gaseous helium is used for leak detection, protective atmospheres during semiconductor and optical fiber manufacture, and helium neon lasers.
