About Neon
Neon is a noble gas with atomic number 10 and very low chemical reactivity under ordinary conditions. Its reddish orange light in electrical discharges is used in illuminated signs and indicators. Neon is also used in helium neon lasers and specialized cryogenic refrigeration, while its very low reactivity limits its role as a source of stable bulk compounds.
