Strontium Pyrophosphate is available as a 99.9 pure (metals basis) powder in batch quantities and may be used as a phosphor host material for LED applications. It exhibits different thermoluminescent properties when doped with rare earths and other elements. Doping with Europium(2+) gives a blue emission, doping with Bismuth(2+) gives a red emission, and doping with Terbium(3+) gives a strong green emission.
