Tin sulfide is available in pure bulk granular form as a source material for the thermal evaporation of photovoltaic thin films.

Tin(II) Sulfide (SnS) and Tin(IV) Sulfide (SnS2) are available as a fine powders.

Tin sulfide has a band gap, Eg = 1.30eV. Silver doping increases the conductivity of the p-type semiconductor.

Tin sulfide evaporated thin films are photoconductive over the range near infrared through to the ultraviolet.

Nano-powders of tin sulfide have been demonstrated to emit in the Blue – UV range making it suitable for optical device applications. Lorad staff will work with customers to supply limited quantities of SnS nanopowder.
